I missed you Xanga!

I missed my Xanga.

I'm going to try and not care that no one will read this or even comment because as far as I can tell, Xanga is dead.

But not my Xanga-- not today!

So, a year and a half into working, my career might be over.  Fantastic... right?

Oh well, I suppose I didn't want to be a Mechanical Engineer, anyway.  I just need to come up with some other career.  Teaching is definitely out, so is styling hair, I suppose I could still get my brokers license but I was working on getting my PE first.  Whoa is me... the sad, sad Mechanical Engineer.

Let me make a list, just to list things:

1) Got my EIT (Engineer-in-Training) status.  Sounds lame and it is but it leads to PE (Professional Engineer), which is still lame but I get a stamp.

2) Had an amazing bob hairstyle for some time

3) Watched all three Godfather films-- Wow, the third one was THAT bad.

4) Saved up some money and finally replaced my phone.  My laptop is still super sad though.

So, hopefully, today will be better.  Maybe I'll even go to work.  Don't suppose there will be much point.

Reflecting

So, I finally got in contact with my best friend in high school and asked her why she didn't invite me to her wedding.  Well, I probably shouldn't have asked but my Ex from high school (who was invited and probably the reason I wasn't) informed me that she had told him I was invited but didn't attend.  I just wanted to clear things up, so I asked... through myspace (using a friend's profile), almost 2 years after the wedding.....

The response:

Well what really happened was i intended to invite you to our wedding but lost your address in the process. I wanted to invite you but didn't have anyway to contact you and since you had moved since the last time I saw you I didn't know how to get a hold of you. I'm really sorry  I was unable to invite you to our wedding, I would have loved for you to be there but there was a lot going on around that time and unfortunately I didn't know what to do. I miss you too and I'm really glad to hear you are doing so well. let me know what you've been up to. My e-mail is still the same since high school  but if you don't have it it's insert_email_address_here@yahoo.com. Miss you Love you always. :)

I suppose I was okay with her response... I wasn't really expecting much but what bothers me more is that the email address she gave me, is the same one I sent multiple emails to asking her about how she was doing.  In other words, I did try to contact her and she had my email address from high school that I still check to this day.  I just assumed when she never responded, she didn't use that address anymore... hence the myspace stalking.

I'm not sure if I want to reply or even if I should.

What is that?

How do I get rid of this ugly thing to the RIGHT? ------>

The Real World?

I work now.  I'd say I feel old but really, I feel very young (in comparision with the 60+ years old  people I work with).  So, I did it-- I got an engineering degree, graduated in four years, and got a fairly stable, well-paying job.  I'm just not sure what happens next.
